All questions
How long does it take Google to show my website?
Short answer
Google usually finds and indexes a new site within days or a few weeks, especially if you register it in Google Search Console. Ranking high for competitive searches takes longer: usually several months of useful content and trust signals.
Indexing isn't ranking
Indexing means Google knows your page exists and stores it. Ranking means it shows it near the top when someone searches. The first is quick; the second depends on the competition and how well your page answers that search.
How to speed it up
- Register the site in Google Search Console and submit the sitemap.
- Give every page a clear title and description.
- Create your Google Business Profile and link it to your site.
- Get other sites to link to you: clients, suppliers, industry directories.
- Publish content that answers your customers' real questions.
If you need it now
If you need visitors from day one, a Google Ads campaign puts you at the top while organic ranking builds up.
